We built it because we needed it.
Who builds AgencyFlo and why?
Agencyflo is the AI-native operating system for agencies. We didn't set out to build a SaaS company. We set out to fix the spreadsheet our studio ran on for ten years. The product is what came out the other side.
The studio that became the product.
For a decade we ran Userise, a dev and design studio that grew to fifteen people. We shipped good work for clients who paid well and stayed for years. On paper, the business was healthy.
In practice, the operating layer was held together with nine subscriptions, three spreadsheets, and a Sunday-night reconciliation ritual that consumed one of the founders for the better part of every weekend. Project status lived in one place, time in another, invoices in a third, and the only person who could see the full picture was whoever had the patience to manually stitch it together.
When we finally calculated true profitability per client (overhead and senior time and revision drift and all) we found two of our largest accounts were running at single-digit margin. Nobody had noticed because the numbers had nowhere to land in the same view.
That was the moment we stopped looking for a tool and started building one.
How we got here.
- 2008
Jonny works at AKQA (arguably the world's greatest agency) across Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam and London, on clients like Nike, Hermès Paris and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Great agency, terrible ops. Then it hits him: there must be a better way.
- 2014
Userise founded as a small dev and design studio in London. Two founders, one client, a Google Sheet. The 'better way' starts here.
- 2019
Studio grows to ten people. Tool stack reaches nine SaaS subscriptions. Founders spend Sunday nights reconciling timesheets against Harvest, Asana, and FreeAgent.
- 2023
Studio at 15 people. We finally calculate true client margin per project. Two of our biggest accounts are running at single-digit margin. Nobody had seen it because the numbers lived in four tools.
- 2025
Started building AgencyFlo internally. Replaced our entire stack in stages. Net margin lifted 9 points in the first quarter on the new system.
- 2026
AgencyFlo opens to other agencies in early-access waves. Founders are still hands-on for every onboarding call.
- 2028
Where we're heading. AgencyFlo adapts to your exact style and way of working, predicts what you want to happen before it happens, and quietly removes most of the complexity in running and managing projects, operations and teams. The senior team is back doing the work only they can do, on the things that actually matter to them.
What we hold to.
The principles that shape every decision in Agencyflo.
Operators first
We ran an agency for ten years. Every decision in AgencyFlo gets pressure-tested against the question: would the team we ran in 2024 actually use this? If the answer is no, it doesn't ship.
One closed loop, not ten integrations
Every integration is a seam. Every seam leaks. We build features inside the loop (proposal, project, time, invoice, paid, P&L) so the data never has to be reconciled between tools.
AI as architecture, not a chat box
FloAI sees the whole agency graph: projects, hours, rates, scope, capacity. It surfaces decisions before problems become visible. That isn't possible when AI is bolted on top of a legacy schema.
Flat pricing, every feature, no per-seat charges
Per-seat pricing punishes growing teams at exactly the wrong moment. We charge a flat price: $50/month for any team up to 25, $100/month above. The whole team gets every feature. Hiring shouldn't double your software bill.
Margin is sacred
Agencies live and die on margin per project and utilisation per person. Both metrics are invisible in most stacks until the month is closed. Real-time profitability is the table stakes of an operating system worth using.
Boring problems, treated seriously
Time tracking, scope creep, late invoices: none of it is glamorous, all of it compounds. The job of the operating system is to make the boring problems quietly disappear.
The team.
Small, deliberate, hands-on. The people answering early-access calls are the same people writing the code.
